Smart Cars Are Stupid, and I Hate Them
WARNING: Extremely Graphic Photos

The worst of the worst has moved into my neighborhood.  It's all downhill from here.  That's right, there's a SmartCar in the driveway down the street.  It took me a while to figure out where my absolutely vicious and vitriolic hatred comes from whenever I see one.  Though I do laugh somewhat when I see one get on the feeder road that runs along the Gulf Freeway here.  But I hate them.  To quote Jack Nicholson's character Melvin Udall's hatred for taking pills from As Good As It Gets: "Hate. I'm using the word HATE here;" only my hatred is directed toward SmartCars. There's one of these Clown Cars in my son's government school parking lot. It's yellow and has a Bill White bumper sticker on it (WTF?).
I see them here and there, scooting about town, and I want to take aim with my imaginary (it's on my wishlist) Barnett Ghost 350 Carbon Lite Crossbow. Don't get me wrong. I support a person's choice to drive what is essentially just a golf cart with a hard-top on it.  But you KNOW there's attitude attached: "Lookit Me. I'M not using very much fuel." Good. That means there's more for ME and my ten-year-old 14-mpg Dodge Grand Caravan eX. I recently saw a SmartCar parked in a handicap parking space at my grocery store. I even tweeted it at that very moment as it struck me as just super odd. It screams to me "mentally handicapped." That's right, I typed mentally handicapped.
What's WRONG with this picture?

So why the hatred?  It's because these vehicles are antithetical to life. As long as I live, I'd fight my sons if they tried to drive one (they wouldn't).When I see one I see death. I saw the pictures you will see below quite a while ago - before I started seeing SmartCars putting around. This is Texas, for God's sake.  For Texas, the SmartCar looks like a roller skate. All sarcasm momentarily aside, scroll down, but be warned! It's only when I connected that car to these pictures that I began to understand my hatred for having one of these things within any range of my vision.

I'm using the word HATE here. Here's a graphic depiction of the WHY.

An Essay of Political Satire
by Son 18: Enjoy

I'm a proud momma, and I had to share.

Satire Composition Essay
Politicians in today's society are the absolute role model of every child's dream to be a self-righteous, do-gooder always-on-the-path-of-the-right type of hero.  These people are perhaps some the most trust-worthy and loyalistic people since the great Alexander Hamilton and his grand idea of having the people serve the government with visions of becoming even better than the modern communism we all know and love.
The People's Republic of China denied this statement saying that they had the greatest representatives of the people. Its leader said, "Can you not tell we represent all of China? It's in our name! We are the ideal of controlling the peoples' will with the greatest of all of its corrupted politically inclined leaders."  Russia laughed at China's statement. "We have always been known as the best in corrupted leaders and politicians, such as our founder Karl Marx, President Vladimir Putin, and the greatest leader of them all, Josef Stalin. In fact we are so gloriously corrupted you copied our idea."
The United States House of Representatives are small compared to our greatest leaders. Anthony Weiner said "Not true. You all have leaders and a few people who are corrupted, but you don't have nearly as many well-organized representatives who will always speak 'our' minds over the people. That's why we represent them.  In fact I know we have the most politically corrupt because we can make our own salaries and over-tip the scales on our Checks-and-Balances system. I myself can even go above the law and post myself on Twitter. I said let there be Weiner, and the people demand it.
Many other countries have debates with us over what is the greatest "role model" in corruption. Our conclusion is that there are many that are very "gloriously corrupt" and "truthful" representatives and leaders that still continue to shine as examples today. But we remain the greatest of role models for all of our peoples' childrens.
Sincerely, The People's Republic ofWho Knows.

#SuperPAC Obama is Using is #ACORN All Over Again
'Priorities USA' is Really SEIU

What a shocker?! Uh, no. In more than many ways, it's 2008 all over again.
Seems the entity that Mr. President chided the United States Supreme Court for two years ago is not so bad after all. A "Super PAC" calling itself "Priorities USA" has been set up to "help" Dear Leader fight his impending non-reelection doom. And lo and behold when you Muckety their name, there is a direct link to the Service Employees International Union. SEIU, the great extortionist union itself.
Service Employees Union International (SEIU) Committee on Political Education — a traditional PAC — has given $1 million to Priorities USA Action so far this election cycle, according to the Federal Election Commission. - "Obama U-Turn: Will Benefit from ‘Special Interests’ Via Super PAC, WBOB AM600"

And, according to Ironicsurrealism.com:
Former Obama Operatives’ Obama Super PAC ‘Priorities USA’ –Not Registered With The IRS: "as of today (Feb. 8, 2012) the IRS still has no record of Priorities USA’s (formed in April 2011) registration. That for the mathematically challenged, is nearly a year in."
Hypocrites. To say the least.

“We need ten thousand #AndrewBrietbarts at the local level”

Panelists Call for More Conservatives
to Become Citizen Journalists
Anyone can be a journalist now – and the conservative movement needs more people to step up and become citizen journalists, according to a group of CPAC panelists today. “Everyone in this room can be a reporter,” said Erik Telford Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & Outreach for the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity. Media outlets are cutting back on reporters at the state and local level leaving those beats uncovered, Telford said. “If you don’t do it, who is going to?” “We need ten thousand Andrew Brietbarts at the local level,” he said.  Ed Morrissey of HotAir.com said, “We have to transform how we approach news.” Conservatives have to move from commenting on the news to breaking news, he said. “Go out and commit random acts of journalism.” With the rise of the Internet “the tools of journalism are at your finger tips” said National Review Online’s Jim Geraghty, author of the Campaign Spot blog. Geraghty also warned that conservative bloggers should not only focus on scandal and corruption but on positive stories as well. Those stories will appeal more to people who don’t pay a lot of attention to politics. Telford noted that conservative journalism flipped two congressional seats considered unwinnable for Republicans, ending the careers of Democrats Anthony Weiner in New York, and Bob Etheridge in North Carolina. Jumping in to citizen journalism can be daunting, but as Morrissey said “just start, you will learn about the issues, don’t’ be afraid to try it.”

The #Song Remains The Same
Lyrics Worth Revisiting 40 Years Later

I always thought it was about Buddy Holly and the plane crash that took him and his talent out of the music world so early. Didn't you? In 1972, I was 7 years old. I remember belting out this chorus with my girl friends and honestly at that time I really did think I was singing about pie. As in, the kind you eat. None of the adults in any rooms corrected us.  Did they know? The Vietnam War was still on. I remember images of it on my living room giant Zenith Color Console. Very little about the war was explained to me, other than I knew my liberal democrat parents were against it.  I think they were protecting us, but they shouldn't have.  My brother was only 4. Why would they explain what seemed like merely a song that a bunch of pretty little Southern California 7 year old girls would sing out cheerfully at the top of their longs?

"Altamont was the product of diabolical egotism,
 hype, ineptitude, money manipulation, and,
at base, a fundamental lack of concern for humanity"
Mom told me Woodstock was disgusting. Dad said it seemed cool and was sorry he missed it. Neither of them told me about Altamont. I have vague memories of discussion(s?) about "Livermoore." But I never gave it another thought. I was 7.

In my online bio I quote a another song from a similar time: "Teach your children well." I try to do that with mine. I thank God every time I can that I have two sons who actually love history, though sometimes they roll their eyes at me at some teachable moments.

AMERICAN PIE
by: DON MCLEAN

A long long time ago
I can still remember how
That music used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
**The day the music died**
So

[Chorus]
Bye, bye Miss American Pie
Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey in Rye
Singin' this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die

Did you write the book of love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so?
Now do you believe in rock and roll?
Can music save your mortal soul?
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?

Well, I know that you're in love with him
Cause I saw you dancin' in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues
I was a lonely teenage broncin' buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died
I started singin'

[Chorus]

Now, for ten years we've been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rolling stone
But, that's not how it used to be
When the jester sang for the king and queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean
And a voice that came from you and me
Oh and while the king was looking down
The jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned
No verdict was returned
And while Lenin read a book on Marx
The quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died
We were singin'

[Chorus]

Helter skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and falling fast
It landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast
Now the half-time air was sweet perfume
While sergeants played a marching tune
We all got up to dance
Oh, but we never got the chance
Cause the players tried to take the field
The marching band refused to yield
Do you recall what was revealed
The day the music died?
We started singin'

[Chorus]

Oh, and there we were all in one place
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again
So come on Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Jack Flash sat on a candlestick
Cause fire is the devil's only friend
And as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage
No angel born in Hell
Could break that Satan's spell
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died
He was singin'

[Chorus]

I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I'd heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn't play
And in the streets the children screamed
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were broken
And the three men I admire most-
the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost-
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died
And they were singing

[Chorus:Repeat x2

#YaThink?!?! 'Islamist Firster' President not what he claimed

Need I say more?

'Islamist Firster' President not what he claimed
Washington Times ^ | Jan 31, 2012 | Charles Hurt

GOLAN HEIGHTS - Surveying the live minefields, cratered roads and mortar-pocked concrete buildings along the border here between Syria and Israel, it is hard not to be reminded of the historic and monumental disappointment President Obama has been.
...Mr. Obama has devoted his administration to raising taxes, adding to the byzantine structure of the federal government, and has created a whole new massive bureaucracy he claims really will cure our every little boo-boo.
Mr. Obama chose to unilaterally alienate perhaps our most strategically important ally in the world and do all he can to cozy up to the very people who are dedicated to destroying not only Israel, but America as well.
Leading Democrats have been in the news lately sliming Americans who stick up for Israel as being "Israel Firsters." Well, Mr. Obama has become an "Islamist Firster."
Since becoming president, he has not once visited our greatest ally in the region. Rather, he has gone to places like Cairo to tell the Muslim world how much he likes it.
