Forty Days To November:
Day 40 Part 1 - Voting

Since the founding of our nation, voting has been considered one of the core responsibilities of citizenship. In 1781, Samuel Adams - the "Father of the American Revolution" and signer of the Declaration of Independence - said this about voting:
A stern middle-aged man with gray hair is wearing a dark red suit. He is standing behind a table, holding a rolled up document in one hand, and pointing with the other hand to a large document on the table.
Samuel Adams
"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual - or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his Country."

Patriot's Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity and freedom to vote  What an honor! I pray that You would guide and direct my every decision as I stand in the voting booth. Help me to cast my vote for the person who stands for liberty, freedom, and respect for human life.

Patriot's Promise: "The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits."  ~ Proverbs 16:1-2
