Forty Days to November:
Day 23 - For a Moral and Religious People

A painted portrait of a man with greying hair, looking left.John Adams (1735-1826) is one of America's Founding Fathers, and he served as the second president of the United States.  Read what he wrote in an October 1798 letter to the First Brigade of the Third Division of the Massachusetts Militia:
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion.  Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net.  Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Patriot's Prayer: Thank you Dear Father, for the love You have shown me and this nation.  I pray that you continue to bless us, help the economy grow stronger, and lead us to a point of such high standards that the world will notice that You truly do have Your hand upon us.

Patriot's Promise: "Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people" ~Jeremiah 7:23
