Forty Days to November
Day 10: A Necessity of American Life

Herbert Hoover was our 31st President from 1929-1933. Judging by that timespan, you know he presided over very difficult times for both America and the world: the Stock Market crash in '29; the rise of fascism in Europe; and Prohibition. Hoover wrote:
"The whole inspiration of our civilization springs from the teachings of Christ and the lessons of the prophets.  To read the Bible for these fundamentals is a necessity of American life."

And to think....Hoover considered himself a "progressive." Never would Hoover have equated that term with socialism and communism, as progressives seem to align themselves with today. Evil has crept into this movement that wants to transform this Exceptional Nation.

Patriots Prayer: Precious Lord, I am concerned for the people of my country, especially the ones who don't know You. I pray that You will allow the Holy Spirit to come upon these people and change their hearts.  If it is Your will, use me to lead them to You and to give you thanks for the blessing that is America.

Patriot's Promise: "The proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord." Acts 13:12
