"We Reject an International Economic Order Sustained by Private Profit"

“I am concerned for the security of our great nation, not so much because of any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within.” — General Douglas MacArthur
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened...I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform." - Norman Mattoon Thomas, six-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America, in 1944

There are 80+ members of Congress who are members of the Democratic Socialists of America. Should we be surprised by this? If members of Congress are openly socialistic, what about the "czars?" Are they socialists, or even communists?
Before you read the list, this is from the DSA's website:
"We are socialists because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo."
After the list, check out the information about the Congressional Progessive Caucus:
The CPC is committed to helping progressives, both inside and outside of Congress, work together more effectively, in order to bring all of us closer to making good on The Progressive Promise.
You'll notice I've repeated the line about rejecting economics by private profit many times throughout the list.  Each repeat links to information on the socialist agenda for America.

There is also a Congressional Progressive Caucus:
The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) consists of 80+ members and is the largest caucus within the Democratic Caucus.  Established in 1991, the CPC reflects the diversity and strength of the American people and seeks to give voice to the needs and aspirations of all Americans and to build a more just and humane society.
The Co-Chairs of the CPC--U.S. Representatives Raúl M. Grijalva (AZ-07) and Lynn Woolsey (CA-06)—welcome your interest in the caucus.

Our Caucus members promote a strong, progressive agenda, what we call “The Progressive Promise--Fairness for All”.  The Progressive Promise is rooted in four, core principles that embody national priorities and are consistent with the values, needs and aspirations of all the American people, not just the powerful and the privileged.  They reflect a fundamental belief in government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

The four, core principles of the Progressive Promise:

1. Fighting for economic justice and security for all;
2. Protecting and preserving our civil rights and civil liberties;
3. Promoting global peace and security; and
4. Advancing environmental protection and energy independence

If you want to let anyone on the list know how you feel about their position as a progressive (which is a euphemism for socialism), here is the CONTACT INFORMATION.

Is our President a socialist? Read this ARTICLE from Forbes online. (Thanks to Twitter user McGuireAustin for the link).

Evidently there are communists in Washington, too.  More to come.

Personally, this gives me hope:
