What Does 20 Weeks Look Like?

#Slaughter

Yesterday, a woman in the Texas State Legislature stood and spoke nonstop for almost fourteen hours because she believed strongly that certain Texans are not allowed to be born and for abortion factories to continue businesses that are run like death camps.

Texas State Senator Wendy Davis filibustered the Special Senate session so that SB5, which put a prohibition on abortions after 20 weeks, could not be voted on and passed. SB5 begins (emphasis mine):
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
20 weeks, 2nd trimester
        SECTION 1.  (a)  The findings indicate that:
              (1)  substantial medical evidence recognizes that an
  unborn child is capable of experiencing pain by not later than 20
  weeks after fertilization;
              (2)  the state has a compelling state interest in
  protecting the lives of unborn children from the stage at which
  substantial medical evidence indicates that these children are
  capable of feeling pain;

I do not know Sen. Davis's personal stand on when a baby should be aborted. But the filibuster had nothing to do with babies. It had more to do with keeping the abortion enterprises open. The bill also contained language that would close down most abortion mills in the state. And if she did filibuster on behalf of unborn babies at all, then apparently it is OK to rip one from its mother's womb at 5 months gestation, or 20 weeks, because those babies don't feel any pain. The text of the bill can be read HERE

While filibustering and citizen participation is not illegal and in fact encouraged in Texas, the pro-abortion crowd was sickening to listen to as they loudly interrupted the attempts made at voting on the bill.  Christians being thrown in to the Colosseum with the lions, while the Roman crowd cheered on, comes to mind. Absolutely ZERO respect or appreciation for human life andthe gift that it is. Another part to abortion, such as in places like Planned Parenthood, is almost never discussed. Abortion arguments are formed around party affiliation. Republicans are against it, Democrats are for it. This is ridiculous. I am neither of those parties. All Taxpayers, regardless of their political party, pay taxes that directly support the extermination of life, both in this country and abroad.

The bill did not pass. But fortunately, Texas is pro-life.  Governor Perry called for a second Special Session within 18 hours of the bill's failure.

Watch this incredible video. And remember, Senator Davis wants to be sure that babies can be aborted up until the 1:30 minute mark.
