Forty Days to November
Day 7 - The Quiet Truth

How refreshing it has been immediately after the first presidential debate to see that the mainstream media doesn't know what to do with itself. Governor Mitt Romney won the debate. I don't think a false word came out of his mouth. Now it's almost comical to see the MSM and others are try to spin up desparate excuses and outright lies to make Gov. Romney's performance somehow seem farcicle.

John Calvin Coolidge
Calvin Coolidge the 30th President, and a lesser-studied president than he should be, was a straight-forward, quiet man, who spent most of his presidency enjoying what American history calls "The Roaring 20s." Coolidge was a believer in small government and had great confidence in "the middle classes" to make for a strong economy. Of his nickname "Silent Cal," Coolidge wrote, "The words of a President have an enormous weight, and ought not to be used indiscriminately."
America having just come off its involvement in the Great War, Coolidge praised the good, and he acknowledged the evil:
"The issues of the world must be met and met squarely. The forces of evil do not disdain preparation, they are always prepared and always preparing...The welfare of America, the cause of civilization will forever require the contribution, of some part of the life, of all our citizens, to the natural, the necessary, and the inevitable demand for the defense of the truth."
Old Glory in 1923
Patriot's Prayer:  In a world, Lord, where many are the enemies of the greatness of America, let us speak boldly your words of love, so that it may be known and that untruths be dispelled.

Patriot's Promise: "When they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say." - Luke 12:11-12
