Forty Days To November
Day 30 - An Unnecessary Departure
from Just Principles

Did you know that the "Federal Reserve" was shut down by President Andrew Jackson in 1832? President Jackson vetoed the Bank Renewal Bill, preventing the recharging of the Bank of the United States (central banking).  Believing the bank was unauthorized by the Constitution and concentrated too much on economic power in the hands of a small moneyed elite, he stated:
Andrew Jackson
"In the full enjoyment of the gifts of Heaven and the fruits of superior industry, economy, and virtue, every man equally entitled to protection by law; but when the laws undertake to add to these natural and just advantages artificial distinctions, to grant titles, gratuities, and exclusive priviliges, to make the rich richer and the potent  more powerful, the humble members of society - the farmers, mechanics and laborers - have a right to complain of the injustice of their Government.
"There are no necessary evils in government. Its evils exist only in its abuses. If it would confine itself to equal protection, and as Heaven does its rains, show its favors alike on the high and the low, the rich and the poor, it would be an unqualified blessing.  In the act before me there seems to be a wide and unnecessary departure from these just principles...
"For relief and deliverance let us firmly rely on that kind Providence which I am sure watches with peculiar care over the destinies of our Republic, and on the intelligence and wisdom of our countrymen. Through His abundant goodness and their patriotic devotion our liberty and Union will be preserverd."
The next time the current Federal Reserve (central banking) is up for renewal is in 2013.

Patriot's Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for those times when our nation has recognized her needs for Your guidance.  May our leaders today understand that our greatness comes only because of Your mercy and grace.

Patriot's Promise: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. ~ 1 Timothy 6:10

Democratic cartoon shows Jackson fighting the monster Bank.
"The Bank", Jackson told Martin Van Buren, "is trying to kill me, but I will kill it!"
