Honor Restored
Over the past year I have learned a lot about an amazing and beautiful woman named Dr. Alveda King. She is a niece of the late civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr. and daughter of the late civil rights activist Rev. A. D. King. Read this, from Wikipedia:
Dr. King is scheduled to speak at "8/28 - Restoring Honor", a massive effort for a vision that Glenn Beck has had for a revival for American values; specifically, faith, hope and charity. He has worked with Dr. King over the past year to bring about an awakening in this country, very much inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" (which you should watch. again.) historic moment at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 1963.
The criticism received regarding the event, especially from the uber-liberal Democrat Leftists elites has been nothing less than astounding. It suddenly occurred to me that these people likely sound just like the critics of Dr. King when he spoke those amazing words almost 50 years ago.
Let's start with The Huffington Post, and contributor Jason Linkins who likely patted himself on the back with this:

Here's one more from Salon.com, who is incredibly disrespectful of Dr. King by suggesting she's the new conservative movement's darling and calls her a "foe" of those who support abortion and homosexual marriage:
Henry Rollins of Vanity Fair Daily online "gave" the event the "Comedy Critic's Choice" award, yet insinuating it is just a gathering of angry white people. What?
As the leftist liberal media and elites get nastier and uglier, and they will, as we get closer to the election we should know that they are acting this way because they have become defensive. They have backed themselves into a corner. Their tactics of lies and insults, their Rules for Radicals playbook, isn't working. The Socialists and uber-Democrats are looking so foolish. The truth is what works. This weekend's events hosted by Glenn Beck and all those participating is a giant leap forward toward an awakening that started oh-so-slowly just a couple of years ago. The bad guys continue to lose ground. One of these days those bad guys will remember: It's the good guys who always win.
[King] is the director of African-American Outreach at the Roman Catholic pro-life group Priests for Life. She is currently a Senior Fellow at the Alexis de Tocqueville Institution, a conservative Washington, D.C. think-tank She is a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives and the founder of King for America. King is a pro-life speaker and often speaks on college campuses about abortion issues. After having two abortions herself, Ms. King joined the pro-Life movement, crusading to offer women alternatives to abortion.Dr. King is obviously a Christian. The King for America website states the following:

I'd have never imagined this was necessary, but on the off-chance that you're confused about whether Glenn Beck and Martin Luther King are the same person, here's some exhaustive research from Media Matters demonstrating this is not the case.

What he conveniently leaves out is that Senator Russell, speaking for that "Block" had co-authored the racist Southern Manifesto and was, like the other 99 "Block" members who signed it, a liberal DEMOCRAT:"I get the feeling that this pitiful gathering will be more about angry white people who think they have lost something. These are people who can’t handle the fact that with time, things change. The restoration of honor they strive for is nothing more than regaining a perceived position of superiority they feel is rightfully theirs, that has been taken away."

This is exciting. The new RightNetwork is ready to launch on September 8. It's already received snarky elitist media criticism from the liberal leftists. As it's launch date nears, there will be increasing volume from the left-wing whiners because the the lefty-loonies are very afraid. Is there a pool started for bets on who in the Yellow-Stream Media will be the first to call RightNetwork a "racist" channel?

Muslim Americans: Barack Obama Calling!
While doing a little research this morning I came across this:
The site MuslimServe.org is an arm of the Serve.gov site, where the Federal Government is attempting to galvanize Americans into acts of public service.
Where is ChristianServe.org with a quote from the Bible? Where is JewishServe.org with quotes from the Torah? HinduServe.org or BuddhistServe.org with quote from their from their respected texts? Go ahead and look; they're not there.
"The President is calling on all Americans..."? Really. Let me know, please, if your faith call shows up. Not that I'm looking for the Federal Government to tell me how to serve. Only that they might not really be pandering to a certain religion, or even (GASP!) mixing church and state.

Boobs for Equal Rights - viewer discretion advised!
There is an annual protest happening right about this time of year. It is by women who believe that their rights are violated because men can go topless in public and women cannot. They are calling for, even demanding, what they call "top freedom." (insert eye-rolling emotion here).
Puuuuhhh-leeezze.
While most people probably envision this when they think of this group's protest show and tell:

Now, I'm certain each of the above pictured women are beautiful in their own unique ways...but I don't particularly care to see something like this (these?) in public everywhere I go on a regular basis. I have my own, thank you, and a mirror.
Breasts are functional, yes. But the truth of them is (are?) that after babies, breast feeding, a few decades of aging and ill-fitting bras, they're just not what they were when they started out, unless you invest in major reconstruction. So, I'm gonna be a predictable conservative here and request...no, demand! That we keep the tatas under wraps. "Top Freedom?" Really? Speaking of slippery slopes...

Right Wing Women Rock (but you already knew that)
I just discovered this conservative music artist this morning on Breitbart.com. Click, watch, and listen. Then, go over to Joe Dan's YouTube Channel and check out the rest of the music. Joe Dan also has a gig on Kansas Radio KMBZ, so you know there's some honest talent here. He's got some great political ads, too.
(ADD moment: "envisioned doesn't seem like the right word, since in my head I was hearing the music, not seeing it. Anybody know what the proper terminology is?)
Branch, who sings "I am America" belting out some of his songs. In other words, keeping with the new tradition of the Rising Conservative Woman, a female voice. But of course, it would be the artist's call, not mine.

This isn't the first time this has happened anyway. The hanging bodies that is. Google Mexican Drug Cartel Murders in "Images" with the Safe-search mode off. Glenn Beck also has pictures on his website if you want to see how specific this violence is. It's extremely graphic, so if you really want to look, be forewarned.
Is it any wonder why Gov. Brewer of Arizona along with 22 other states including my own state of Texas has drafted and is considering legislation regarding the prevention of this kind of horror coming across our borders? How many days until we see an Oliver Cromwell type display on US Soil?

Mutilated bodies strung up in drug war

Four decapitated and mutilated corpses were strung from a bridge in a popular getaway outside the Mexican capital, the latest atrocity as the country battles an escalating drugs war.
The bodies of the four young men were discovered hanging upside down by their feet from a bridge near the wealthy area of Cuernavaca, a leafy city about an hour outside Mexico City, where many of the nation's elite own homes.
The victims' genitals, index fingers and heads had been cut off, according to the attorney general's office. Their heads and genitals were found nearby, along with a handmade sign, the statement said.
"This will happen to everyone that helps the traitor Edgar Valdes," the placard read, referring to a leading drug capo.
It was signed CPS, the initials of the South Pacific Cartel, a relatively new drug gang that has claimed responsibility for other gruesome killings.
Drug violence has escalated across Mexico as President Felipe Calderon goes after powerful cartels and as rival gangs fight over turf. More than 28,000 people have died in drugs violence since Calderon took office in 2006.
While much of the bloodshed is centered in northern Mexico, violence has climbed in Cuernavaca, a once-quiet colonial city, since security forces killed a top drug lord, Arturo Beltran Leyva, in a shootout there in December.
His death kicked off a power struggle within his cartel, and rival gangs have been seeking to co-opt his territory.
Valdez, a Mexican-American known as "La Barbie" due to his blond hair, is a leading contender to head the Beltran Leyva cartel.
The murdered young men appeared to have been small-time local drug dealers killed by a rival gang.

A Lesson in Near-Tragedy
As of this posting, the 19 year-old-driver of this vehicle has survived this 100-mph crash with very serious injuries. I pray he makes it. But his accident will provide a brief warning and lesson for my own son who is learning to drive right now. I hope he absorbs the message:

The Obama Plan (with the aid of supporters/conspirators) Many people have been wondering what the Obama administration with the help of certain members of congress and influential, Godless radicals around the world are doing to the United States. In this essay, it will be pointed out that more than likely a specific plan is in place to divide the nation, make an attempt to pull it back together, appear to be the hero in the process and eventually end up with an ultimate disaster and a lot of deaths instead of accomplishing the intended goal.
A lot of people in the nation are outraged (the anger is unprecedented) as they watch decisions made by this administration and/or actions/moves taken which appear to be to the detriment of the good of the nation and of the freedoms of the citizenry. Some knowledgeable individuals have informed the writer that all of the moves are deliberate and part of an overall plan. It appears that President Obama and the individuals in his inner circle which would include not only aforementioned radicals from U.S. history and fringe element members of Congress along with some foreign interests are deliberately trying to provoke those with a conservative, Godly mindset to commit some act of violence which would precipitate armed conflict within the nation between opposing groups and/or the government.
Comments he has made about the people clinging to the “…religion and their guns.”, his support of extremely liberal philosophy such as homosexuality, abortion, illegal immigration and Islam (and others) openly and arrogantly is enraging many in the U.S., even some who supported him in the presidential election. He has taken steps which are obviously and specifically anti-business and ultimately anti-good economy hurting some of the very people who have supported him with votes. He has openly blackmailed BP and has not allowed the corporation to quickly and efficiently stop the oil leak for political and financial gain by demanding they provide funds. He will then claim that HE was responsible for providing the funds and thus “buy” votes with BPs money.
He has on several occasions brought up amnesty for illegal aliens and talk is now he will try to legalize this group through the stroke of the pen instead of legislation in order to effect his will and create new voters for his party to the tune of nearly 30 million (yes, nearly 30 million illegals are actually in the nation – ask anyone who deals with the Hispanic population and they will tell you there are far more than are officially reported by the media, etc.). Why would he do this? Certain members of Congress are also bluntly advocating action/points of view which are precipitating not previously seen anger among many in the U.S. These stances would seem to be counterproductive to securing votes in the upcoming mid-term elections and even the next presidential election. And, neither the President nor his advocates seem to show any remorse about decisions made. Why?
It has been brought to the writer’s attention that this group of people WANTS conservative groups to rebel and commit an act of violence to play into a trap that is being set. They want states like Arizona and Texas to rebel and try to secede and AG Holder quickly stirs the pot every chance he gets.
They believe they can rally the nation to defeat these “radicals” who would be called all sorts of names (already beginning) and “unify” the nation once again under Obama’s leadership, making him a modern day “Abraham Lincoln.” Analogies to this effect have already been attempted earlier with some things that have been written. The Tea Party movement is at present being vilified and any other conservative or group of conservatives is immediately set upon and demonized when trying to establish a proper agenda based on right and wrong.
The solution to this entire problem is a massive uprising of the people to vote this Fall and in the presidential elections later to correct this situation. The nation must return to its moral foundation of Biblical teaching and vote correctly based on a knowledge of what is right. If we begin to fight each other, we will more than likely be subject to invasion by some foreign power and overwhelmed. I don’t think the group behind this mess plans on that and that is a fatal flaw to the entire process. If we have a civil war in this nation it will not be regional or racial. It will be nearly impossible to consistently determine who the enemy is because the war will be ideological and each neighbor has a different point of view. The potential for absolute disaster because of the preceding is tremendous if you think about it. It will almost be every man for himself – a truly horrible civil war situation which would lead to complete societal collapse.
More details could be provided, but this is enough to get the basic idea across. What a tragedy that it has come to this. Many older people are making comments about politics and government that this writer has never heard that generation make and it is truly frightening where we are headed. Americans better wake up and elect some real leaders with real moral backbone or face destruction. We must ourselves return to our moral roots or we will never elect moral people to lead us. May God help us all.

From the AP/ Yahoo News: President Barack Obama hosts an iftar dinner, the meal that breaks the dawn-to-dusk fast for Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan, in the State Dining Room at the White House in Washington, Friday, Aug. 13, 2010.
Earlier this week, we read the news that nearly 70% of Americans oppose the building of the mosque at ground zero. Now, it appears that Captain Kick-A is drastically on the wrong side of the American people, AGAIN….but then, when has he ever been in tune with the American people, and why should he start, now?
Fox News.com reports:
President Barack Obama on Friday forcefully endorsed building a mosque near ground zero, saying the country’s founding principles demanded no less.“As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country,” Obama said, weighing in for the first time on a controversy that has riven New York City and the nation.
And see? Obama, as usual, throws out the ridiculous strawman. Who, pray, is advocating that Muslims be prevented from practicing their religion in this country? Hm? Anybody?
Nobody has a problem with Muslims putting up Mosques. That’s one of the lamer arguments I’ve heard Islamists and their lib allies make.
Nobody is even advocating that the government stop them. They are appealing to their better angels to be sensitive to the feelings of Americans who are understandably offended by the idea.

“That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances,” he said. “This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable.”Obama made the comments at an annual dinner in the White House State Dining Room celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
Uh huh. Awesome. Another gift to Republicans.
Obama may want to alert Gibsy, though, because he’s been telling people that as far as the administration is concerned, it’s a local matter.
