Ranting on the Health Care Nightmare Bill's Origins

(All bold caps are my reactions to this letter from the committee when it came out earlier this month. So now how on earth do we get people to pay attention? Will my temper tantrum here do the trick? I doubt it, but here it is anyway.)

In Historic Vote, HELP Committee Approves the Affordable Health Choices Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Senate’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, or HELP. ("HELP! HOW APPROPRIATE!) Committee today passed The Affordable Health Choices Act, landmark legislation that will reduce health costs, protect individuals’ choice in doctors and plans, and assure quality and affordable heath care for Americans. (BULLCRAP).

The bipartisan bill includes more than 160 Republican amendments accepted during the month-long mark-up, one of the longest in Congressional history. (TALKING OUT BOTH SIDES OF YOUR MOUTHS RIGHT HERE, DON'T YOU THINK? AND JUST HOW MANY NON-PARTISAN DEMOCRAT AMENDMENTS WERE THERE?)

The legislation builds on the existing employer-based system and strengthens it. If an individual likes the health insurance he or she has, they get to keep (They get to be taxed) it. The bill provides better choices for those with no coverage now (FREE PIG FLU SHOTS!), and those for whom coverage (TAX) is unaffordable. The legislation also gives small businesses better options for high value health coverage.("OPTION" AND TAXED VS. CHOICE TAX AND INCOME TAX. "CHOICE" = PAY TAXES TWICE: TAX TO PAY FOR THE "HELP" PLAN, AND AGAIN FOR THE CHOICE BECAUSE IT WILL BECOME A TAXABLE INCOME. THIS IS BEYOND RETARDED. AMERICA!! ARE WE THIS RETARDED?)

Under the insurance reforms in The Affordable Health Choices Act, no American can be denied health coverage because of a preexisting medical condition (UNLESS YOU'RE TERMINAL, THEN YOU GET NOTHING. AND YOUR GOVERNMENT INSURERS WILL HAVE A COMPLETE LIST OF DEFINED NON-PREEXISTING CONDITIONS), or have that coverage fail to help them when they need it most.
No American will ever again be subject to annual or lifetime limits on their coverage, or see it terminated arbitrarily to avoid paying claims. (JUST KEEP PRINTING MONEY AND PRETEND TO BE ABLE TO PAY FOR IT).
Moreover, the bill reduces health care costs through stronger prevention (NO CHEMO FOR YOU, YOU ONLY HAVE SIX MONTHS TO LIVE). SORRY, better quality of care and use of information technology(EVERYONE WILL KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU AND YOUR HEALTH THANKS TO GE HEALTH-MAGINATION PROGRAM - YOU KNOW, IT'S THE SMART-GRID TECHNOLOGY FOR HEALTH CARE).

It also roots out fraud and abuse (LIKE THE 35% FRAUD RATE IN MEDICARE AND MEDICAID?), reduces unnecessary procedures (YOU'LL BE KEEPING THAT BRAIN TUMOR AFTER ALL)and creates a system that allows everyone to obtain insurance thereby gaining access to doctors (THEY DECIDE TO STAY IN THE COUNTRY AND PRACTICE MEDICINE THE WAY THEY THINK THEY WILL BE ABLE TO, COMPLETELY ETHICALLY UNDER THE HYPPOCRITIC OATH OF COURSE), medication (READ: PROFIT$ FOR PHARMACEUTICAL$) and procedures essential (DEFINE ESSENTIAL: WHAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL ARBITRARILY PERMIT)for prevention and disease management (ACTUALLY,DEATH IS CHEAPER).

By sharing in this responsibility, these nearly 50 million (THREE MILLION MORE UNINSURED CONVENIENTLY WITH NO HEALTH CARE BECAUSE THEY ARE NO LONGER EMPLOYED THANKS TO THE OBAMA-NATION)uninsured Americans will avoid eleventh-hour treatment in emergency rooms that drive up costs for everyone else. (INSTEAD, AMERICANS WILL HAVE 48TH- HOUR TREATMENT, 72ND HOUR TREATMENT, 96th HOUR TREATMENT...)

Shared responsibility requires that everyone - government (AMAZINGLY, EVERYONE WAS ASKED!), insurance companies, medical providers, individuals and employers - has a part in solving America’s health care crisis (AFTER ALL IT'S THE WORST HEALTH CARE IN THE WORLD, THAT'S WHY PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD COME HERE TO GET IT, BECAUSE OF THE CRISIS) The Affordable Health Choices Act requires those businesses which do not provide coverage for their workers to contribute (CONTRIBUTE = PAY FOR WITH TAXES)to the cost of providing publicly sponsored coverage for those workers. It includes an exception for small businesses ("EXCEPTIONS" FOR SMALL BUSINESSES MEANS THEY WILL BE DOUBLE-TAXED AS A CONSEQUENCE FOR MAKING THE WRONG CHOICE).

The bill also includes a strong public option that responds to the wishes of the American people to (WTF? I DON'T WISH FOR THIS!) have a clear alternative(COERSION) to for-profit insurance companies(BECAUSE THE GOAL OF THE OBAMANATION IS TO DESTROY CAPITALISM AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP, PROFITS NOT APPROVED BY IT OR DIRECTLY ATTAINED BY IT ARE NOT PERMITTED). Like private insurance plans The Community Health Insurance Option will be available through the American Health Benefit Gateway (GATEWAY= "FILTER"), a new way for individuals and small employers to find and purchase quality and affordable health insurance in every state(STATUS OF STATEHOOD SOON TO BE IRRELEVENT IN THE CZAR-INFESTED BORDERLESS OBAMANATION).

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office estimates the bill to cost less than $615 billion over 10 years. (LIARS. THE CBO SAYS IT WILL COST A MINIMUM OF TWO TRILLION DOLLARS. YOU ARE MATHEMATICALLY ILLITERATE DESTROYERS OF THE AMERICAN WAY). A complete summary follows the below statements from the Democratic Members of the HELP (HELP? SERIOUSLY THROW ME A LEAD LIFESAVER WHILE YOU'RE HELL-PING ME) Committee:

We have done the hard work that the American people sent us (NO, HALF OF US DID NOT SEND YOU THERE TO DO THIS) here to do. We have considered hundreds of proposals (BUT "WE" ARE STICKING WITH THE ONE THAT MAKES "US" ALL RICH AND YOU POOR) . Where we have been able to reach principled compromise (BULLSH*T), we have done so. Where we have not been able to resolve our differences, we have treated those with whom we disagree with respect and patience (BY NOT LETTING THEM IN ON MEETINGS, BY NOT LETTING THEM READ LEGISLATION, BY LETTING THEM WATCH THE POWER-DRIVEN ORGY WE HELD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT ON A REGULAR BASIS),” Chairman (Brain Tumor) Kennedy said.
“As we move from our committee room to the Senate floor, we must continue the search for solutions that unite(ENSLAVE) us, so that the great promise of quality affordable health care for all can be fulfilled.(AND I, TED KENNEDY WILL NOT ONLY BE REMEMBERED FOR KILLING AN INNOCENT GIRL I HAD NO BUSINESS BEING WITH AT CHAPPIQUIDICK, BUT ALSO FOR KILLING MILLIONS OF AMERICANS IN THE FUTURE, ESPECIALLY BOTH THE ELDERLY- BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE MONEY FOR SOCIAL SECURITY ANYWAY- AND THE UNBORN BECAUSE THEY DON'T DESERVE TO LIVE LET ALONE BE INSURED.)

“We began this process with a blank sheet of paper (PAPER THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT BLANK) and a mandate from the American (LOSER) people. We all knew the history, marked with too many disappointments - (STAY TUNED FOR MORE DISAPPOINTMENTS) - and I said that this time would be different. Well, this time is different,” said Senator Dodd. (NO, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DEMANDED TO SEE YOUR COUNTRYWIDE HOME LOAN PAPERS MR. DODD). “The American people demanded legislation that protects their choice of doctors, hospitals, and insurance plans; cuts costs for families, businesses, and the federal government- (THE ONLY LEGISLATION NEEDED IS TO OUTLAW THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT);
and ensures that, in the wealthiest (POLITICIANS) nation in the world, everyone has access to affordable, high-quality care (WHERE YOU CAN BEND OVER AND TAKE IT UP THE ASS ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY). This time, we have produced the legislation Americans wanted (BECAUSE AMERICANS WERE TOLD THEY WANTED IT). This time, we have delivered on the promise of real change.” MANDATORY SWINE FLU SHOTS 100% COVERED, AMERICA!!

Being Runner Up: It Doesn't Byte!

I had a wonderful surprise in my email inbox on Thursday morning. I had entered a slogan contest for Shelly Roche's Website ByteStyle.tv. I was not the winner, but I was named runner up! I was honored, truly!I first learned about who Shelly Roche is when I started to tune in on to an intriguing new webcast every Wednesday afternoon (and download the podcast to listen to on my iPod) to "Freedom Watch" hosted by Judge Andrew Napolitano that airs on FoxNews.com.

Previous visitors to my blog who have scrolled down to the area after my posts will have sen that I have a link to "Freedom Watch" so that my readers can be sure to tune in to the latest episodes. I am a dedicated fan of the show, as are many others. There is currently a petition to get the show to air on the Fox News Channel.

This was so much fun. Yes, FUN! Having FUN and being creative felt so good during what I feel like is the battle of my political life. Fighting for freedom is exhausting! One of the things I have found myslef doing as an activist is trying to wake people up to what is going on (and what has been going on!) with our liberties. I "Promote Awareness" so to speak, in as many creative ways as I can.

When you click on the link for ByteStyle.tv, you will see my entry under LoriGirl. Many people online know me under this name; it's what my Daddy called me as a youngin'. This is far less pretentious than what he will call me to this day usually as a telephone greeting, which is "Princess" (I'm a Daddy's girl, what can I say?).

My entry, among many others I submitted, was "Promoting freedom, one byte at a time." Far more wordy than the winner - but maybe it will be used as sub-text sometime. You know, when an author writes a book that he titles and sub-text titles in this format:

The winner's slogan is much shorter and catchier, so it deserved to win and I congratulate the winner. After all, it is an honor just to be nominated. I'd like to thank The Academy: Thank you to all my libertarian, conservative and republican friends on twitter and facebook who helped me along by voting. I hope you had some fun too!

PLEASE. STOP. No really, please STOP.

I have been so insanely busy with activism that I have not had time to post anything. So I though I'd just post this picture I made just yesterday. Sometimes, a picture is totally worth the proverbial thousand words.

In Denfense of the Selfless

No surprise here: I'm in Sarah Palin's corner. I support her decision whole-heartedly. I do not question her decision to resign as governor for any reason at all. People who have said such mean and vile things about her should be ashamed, but they aren't. The verbal assaults remind me so much of how Princess Diana was treated, and she finally had to plead for some badly needed peace.

Since I do not know Governor Palin personally, I can only make suppostions about why she did what she did. Depending on who you ask, she: quit, mentally lost-it, abandoned Alaska, caved to pressure, is a criminal, blew her presidential prospects, committed political suicide, is brilliant, crazy like a fox, puts the public good above playing political games, and doesn't play politics as usual.

One headline stated that Ms. Palin was "responding to a higher calling."As a mother and a wife, I can certainly relate to this. I have had to put life on hold in some areas for the greater good in others, mainly for my family, just as Mrs. Palin stated she was placing priority on her own family. In his Epistle to the Romans (chapters 6-8) Paul talks about this very subject, also called "dying to self." He states, "Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires."(Romans 8:5). I'm not going to expound on the Biblical passages here, that's extra credit homework for my readers. Needless to say, people who can't rise above their own selves won't ever get it.

Since I am not a professional political writer and I won't get nearly the audience William Kristol does, I like and agree with his Washington Post piece where he states: "I am convinced, though, that she should have a chance to compete and make her case. In this, I seem to differ from many of my friends in the mainstream media and the Republican establishment. They tend not only to dislike and disdain Palin, they also want to bury her chances now as a presidential possibility. What are they so scared of?"

My theory is that everyone's scared that she will succeed.
